Does this track a lighter automatically?
No. There is no GPS or Bluetooth tracker. A new stop appears when someone scans the QR code and adds their city or town and state.
Do I need an app or an account?
No download or account is needed. Scan the code with your phone camera, open the link, and add a stop.
Can a lighter stay in the same town?
Absolutely. Every handoff can add a chapter, even when the lighter never leaves town.
What information is public?
Your submitted city, state, optional nickname, message, and check-in date appear on the journey. Leave out names, addresses, phone numbers, and other private details.
How do I follow this lighter later?
Use “Share this journey” to copy or save its link. Each of the 25 pilot lighters has its own number and journey.
